Preventative Conservation

I take care of belongings and spaces today so that we can learn from them tomorrow.

I might be taller than you expect. I use this to my advantage, for example when dusting hard-to-reach surfaces.

When I can't reach something, I know how to safely use a ladder to get the job done.

I have made use of a vacuum and brush to safely care for historic textiles. One that I am most proud of is this cloak that once belonged to Catherine Parr Traill.
